Un Anticalendrier
de Chien

RETURN To

Projects

The « Anticalendrier de chien » (dog's anticalendar) was started before the lockdown with a spontaneous and casual photographic documentation of the dogs being walked, around the Ecole Duperré in Paris. We used the pictures as raw material, to expand and express their inner universe, that we enriched by digging into our own collections of images from our respective photography practice. We generated all the remaining images, such that the project would be autonomous and entirely self-made. It was a pretext to play with the codes and esthetics, lightheartedly, with no pretense, and minimal constraints. It was also an emotional and energy outlet during the complicated lockdown diploma year, and the overall context. We conceived it as an editorial object to be printed, but to make it exist esily and with the ressources we had at the time, we opted for its digital publication. We may yet decide to transform it into a true Dog anti-Calender to hang on your wall.
